Founded in 2014, SEV American College (SAC) is the newest member of the prestigious SEV family of schools, with roots in the American Board tradition dating back to the mid-19th century. SAC offers an inspiring environment where teachers can make a real impact, shaping the education and future of students who go on to universities in Turkey and around the world.

At SAC, we combine rigorous academics with opportunities for creativity and personal growth. Mathematics, science, and English are taught in English, while Turkish language, literature, and social studies are taught in Turkish. Students also study other European languages and enjoy classes in arts, music, drama, and physical education. Our curriculum emphasizes critical and analytical thinking, supported by a wide range of electives and enriched extracurricular programs.  We offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Grades 11 and 12, along with a range of elective courses that support student success at the undergraduate level.

Faculty and students participate in activities that include international Model United Nations conferences, theater workshops, science fairs, competitions, music performances, and sports events. 2. Welcome to SEV American College (SAC)

Founded in 2014, SEV American College (SAC) opened its doors as the newest addition to the distinguished family of schools established by the American Board in the mid-19th century. Like its sister schools in Turkey, SAC is proudly governed by the Health and Education Foundation (SEV), a respected Turkish non-profit organization dedicated to excellence in education. Students may join SAC either from SEV Middle School or through the nationally administered entrance exam at the end of grade 8.

At SAC, our academic program is rigorous and designed to prepare students for success at leading universities in Turkey and around the world. Mathematics, science, and English courses are delivered in English, while Turkish language, literature, and social studies are taught in Turkish. In addition, students may explore languages such as French, German, and Spanish. Our curriculum is further enriched with classes in arts, music, drama, and physical education.

As with all SEV schools, SAC is committed to nurturing students’ critical and analytical thinking skills. Required courses are thoughtfully complemented by a diverse range of electives, offering students the opportunity to explore their interests while developing intellectual agility and creativity.

SAC also offers a vibrant extracurricular program that encourages both students and teachers to pursue their passions. Participation in this program is an integral part of the SAC experience. International opportunities, such as Model United Nations conferences and Robotics Competitions are combined with in-country events, including science fairs, math competitions, musical performances, and sporting events, creating a dynamic environment for personal growth.

Our focus at SAC is to foster a learning community where students are empowered to be both the architects of their education and the designers of their future. Through collaborative dialogue with faculty, students can actively contribute to shaping programs and facilities that meet the evolving educational needs of today’s youth.

SAC’s leadership reflects our commitment to global standards, with a native English-speaking headmaster and approximately 70% of the English department faculty also native English speakers.
